CHASE CHASER T.R.M

chase chaser t.r.m. is an american hip-hop artist, songwriter and performer.  this artist is known for approaching the mic with clever and witty rhymes, much charisma and aggression in his delivery.  chaser has been embraced mostly for his abilities to display lyricism while swiftly blending different aspects of creativity and message behind the music.  the new york city, bronx raised emcee has been enveloped in a deep appreciation and love for hip-hop since "the golden era" of hip-hop.  influenced and inspired by lyricism and story-telling style of rap, Chaser t.r.m. embarked on his journey to pursue a place in this art dating back to 2001.

adaptation has been a primary challenge in chaser's life.  born in the dominican republic but partially raised in puerto rico and nyc, this emcee has gained a unique perception and wisdom based on his upbringing in totally different environments. fazed with the hardships of constant travel to escape poverty in the islands, by the early 90's chaser t.r.m. was re-introduced and settled in the urban life.  chaser became complexed by this new way of living in the city that never sleeps...where all races meet and all cultures intertwine. Chase Chaser had no choice but to learn and evolve with the presented changes.  changes such as language barriers, american culture and the urban ghettoes.

during chase chaser's youth, he discovered a deep interest in arts, cultural studies and music.  with introverted characteristics, chaser did not really explore the life of the streets much, rather he observed and learned from those that had lived it to tell it.  by the mid 90's chaser T.R.M. would still struggle with learning the english language.  despite this fact, Chaser still managed to develop a unique love and understanding for hip-hop as a culture.  as years passed, hip-hop became more of a teacher for chaser t.r.m.  hip-hop has always depicted and expressed the daily encounters of that living in the slums.  by the late 90's chase chaser t.r.m. already grasped a more profound passion for hip-hop.  a passion so intense and committed that led to the birth of chase chaser's career as an unsigned artist.

in 2001, chaser t.r.m. (known by different aliases at that time) would go and write his very first lyric. this action embraced a new relationship with hip-hop for chaser.  during chaser's early days as a hip-hop artist, it was a learning process to comprehend music formats and improve the english language at once.

while working on his craft, in 2002 chaser and a very close friend joined forces to create the duo "hijo mobb".  this duo would later be introduced to several local artists in washington heights, manhattan under the name "w.o.e." or "words of expression".  the duo "hijo mobb" was short-lived leaving chaser as a solo artist who would become part of "w.o.e.".  from 2005, "w.o.e." was the big brother and umbrella for groups formed within its label. groups such as: "street felonz, 4 niggas, knight warriors, bullzeyez and newera .  chaser would partake on both groups "street felonz and 4 niggas".  during this time it was experimental with music in search for his voice and knowledge based on this craft.  "w.o.e." would complete a compilation involving every artist in its label.  unfortunately, this project received negative results.  as time went on differences and tension ran high among the label causing most of its artists to depart.  this event would take "street felonz" and chaser as a six men group.

in 2006, chaser t.r.m. and "street felonz" were more skilled and consistent.  their first mixtape titled "power hungry" was completed.  as a group they promoted the mixtape independently by performing at local locations.  "power hungry" became a breakthrough for chaser t.r.m. and "street felonz".  all plans for "power hungry" and the six men group came to a halt due to internal issues that was also followed by another separation.  "street felonz" down sized once more, this time as a three men group making chaser t.r.m. one-third of it.  after trial and error, this group managed to hit the reset button and present the audience with a fresh start.  chaser and colleagues released another project titled "the order". this next project gained recognition from local web-radio station "vonfence radio".  "the order" caught the attention of other local establishments which helped create a growing fanbase,  it also gained the attention of a&r at interscope records.  with things headed into a more promising path, the group were optimistic on making power moves.  unfortunately, in 2008 the group would face trouble once again causing them to down size once more.  after "street felonz" fought to remain intact by the remaining two members, everything came crashing down leaving chaser t.r.m. as a solo artist again.

by 2009 and throughout 2013, personal matters had consumed chase chaser down a negative spiral.  battling depression, brief run-ins with the law, a mild addiction to prescription drugs and losses from close friendships and relatives... chaser t.r.m. couldn't even keep employment nor a home.  these events caused a chain reaction of inactive years away from the music world.  in late 2013, chase chaser regained focus and made a full recovery.

chase chaser t.r.m. bounced back after reconnecting and rekindling some friendships from "w.o.e." and "street felonz".  after teaming with long-time friends and music partners, "eliest music" was eventually founded by eliest in 2014 and supported by Chase chaser t.r.m. and company.  "eliest music" has completed their first project titled: "eliest music-the mixtape volume one".  as of 2015, chaser t.r.m. remains a solo artist while having a partnership with "eliest music" for upcoming material and music as an independent label.  chase chaser t.r.m. continues to pursue his path in hip-hop.
